Tinkering Series: Microcontrollers 201
Event Date and Time: Saturday, November 10th, 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm
Delve into microcontrollers or drone flight in this year’s Tinkering Series! Once a month, join our team of expert educators as you develop skills that create real-world connections to science, technology, and engineering. Collaborate with other enthusiasts and grow your abilities through three separate workshops that build on each other.
Explore microcontrollers - essentially computers smaller than your hand! - and learn how to write code for them! Microcontrollers 201 is designed for participants with some coding experience. We’ll work together to use PicoBoards and Hummingbird Arduinos to experiment with how sensors function as we create programs and build objects that react to the environment. Create lights that turn on in the dark or program a virtual animal that runs away from loud sounds!
Optional prerequisite - Microcontrollers 101*
*Participants are encouraged but not required to complete Microcontrollers 101
Cost:
$10* for all
*Does not include admission to the museum
For ages 11 & older*
